Pre 1960 2CVs were supplied from new with 400 size tyres. This allowed room for the grease nipple (for lubrication purposes) to be fitted directly to the bottom of the king pin housing. With SPOG’s second version, for ease of fitting & location, the bottom plug and grease nipple are combined.

Later cars with 125 x 15 size tyres have this grease nipple moved to the back of the king pin housing due to the now limited space.
