Original channel consisted of a rubber coating over an internal flexible metal skeleton to provide rigidity and often secured into position with several small self-tapping screws. Sadly the drain holes along the bottom edge allows water to get at the metal skeleton which then decays causing the rubber channel to deform and the glass window panes (unique to the Mixte) fall out.

This new channel is the same profile as the sliding window channel found on UK Dyane front doors. SPOG supplies a generous length of channel which can be cut/glued to fit the long sliding window aperture on either side of an Acadiane Mixte. Made purely from reasonably hard yet still flexible rubber, this channel will push fit into the corners, the purchaser making any drainage holes and accompanying niches in the exterior lip as so desired. When channel is fitted correctly the button lock mechanism works as intended.
