2CV Ballade Namibia 2026
Individual trip or in a group to Namibia with your 2CV

After numerous 2CV raids in Europe – including Spain, Iceland, the North Cape, and France – as well as on other continents (USA, Morocco, Sultanate of Oman 2019, Western Sahara 2023, and most recently Algeria 2025), we are now planning our next big adventure: From mid-July to mid-August 2026, we plan to explore Namibia as self-drivers in our own 2CV.

Would you like to join us on an extraordinary trip through Namibia’s most spectacular landscapes? The itinerary includes the vibrant red sand dunes of the Namib Desert, the impressive wildlife of Etosha National Park, the former German coastal towns of Swakopmund and Lüderitz, and – depending on time, interest, and preference – the magnificent Fish River Canyon and many other highlights.

Namibia captivates with its extreme contrasts between desert, savannah, and Atlantic coast and is considered as one of the best countries in the world for self-drive safaris. A four-wheel-drive vehicle is not essential, the partially unpaved roads are in very good condition. In addition, we will have at least one Toyota Land Cruiser as a support vehicle.

The logistics are already organized: The costs for the 40-foot container, the freight forwarder, and local support in Walvis Bay from a recommended tour operator (e.g., for special requests) are included in the budget.

The 2CV Ballade NAMIBIA 2026 begins mid-July and ends mid-August 2026 in Walvis Bay with the handover of the vehicles
to the freight forwarder.

The trip duration is flexible and can range from two to six weeks, depending on individual preferences. Arrival and departure
can be arranged individually; the only mandatory requirement is the embarkment of the 2CVs in Rotterdam early June (or late May, to be confirmed) 2026 for container transport.

The Ballade is limited to a maximum of six 2CVs (two 40-foot containers). It combines scenic and cultural experiences with wildlife viewing at a relaxed pace, embracing Citroen’ motto “the journey is the destination,” meeting new people with active elements such as hiking or/and sandboarding.

• €4,000 shipping costs for your 2CV Rotterdam → Walvis Bay → Rotterdam
• €25 to €200 per day for accommodation costs, depending on the chosen accommodation – mostly campsites, some safari lodges (where camping is usually also possible).

Your participation is confirmed once the shipping costs have been transferred. Each participant is responsible for their own meals. On-site technical support is provided.
