Pre 1960 2CVs were supplied from new with 400 size tyres. This allowed room for the grease nipple (for lubrication purposes) to be fitted directly to the bottom of the king pin housing. This is a faithful reproduction of the original system, the nipple and stainless steel bottom plug being separated entities.

Later cars with 125 x 15 size tyres have this grease nipple moved to the back of the king pin housing due to the now limited space
